Before the reveal
Your partner does not receive your answer until both of you have answered. Until then, each person can see only their own side.

What is never measured
There are no read receipts, response times, last-seen records, streaks, compatibility scores or counts comparing one partner with the other.

What can stay on this browser
A private identity cookie keeps your seat. Draft words, reveal markers and pending delivery intents can stay in local browser storage so a reload does not erase them. An optional local passcode screen can withhold room pages on this browser after inactivity. It is a casual-access screen, not encryption or an account, and none of it moves to another device automatically.

What the room stores
The room can hold names you choose, time zones, answers, letters, recordings, photographs, plans and optional notification contact details. Contact details and live device credentials are never shown to the other partner.

No intimate-data business model
Answers are not sold, sent to advertisers, used to choose ads, turned into relationship scores or used to train an AI model. The product does not generate hidden insights from private conversations.

Optional sign-in
You can start as a guest. If you add Google or email-code sign-in, Firebase Authentication (Google) holds that account identity and a separate private association lets you recover your existing room membership. We do not copy the provider’s name, photo or email into your shared profile, subscribe you to notifications, or show those details to your partner. Sign-in identifies you to this service and the provider; it is not complete anonymity. The room still uses an HttpOnly identity cookie on this browser.

How advertising works
A Google AdMob banner can appear in two clearly separated moments around a completed question: while waiting or ready after you have submitted, and after the shared reveal. Each partner can create at most two placement opportunities per question. No banner appears while you read or answer. We request non-personalized ads and never send Google your room code, prompt, answer, name, mood, plan or partner activity. Google may still process device, network, consent and ad-interaction data to deliver and measure an ad; its consent form appears where law requires it. Our own content-free product and ad events use pseudonymous identifiers and are removed after 90 days. A separately configured static sponsor may also appear in the Browse catalogue.

Your copy and the way out
The shared record can be downloaded as a self-contained file. Settings also offers a separate plain-data copy of completed needs readings and only your private marks; unfinished sealed work and your partner’s private marks stay out. Leaving closes your seat but does not erase words that belong to both people.

- Rooms with both seats remain until the mutual deletion process completes. A room whose second seat never arrives expires after 30 inactive days. Deleted data may remain in protected backups for up to 0 days.

Deletion
Either person can leave without permission. Permanent deletion of the shared room requires separate requests from both people, then waits 90 days. Either person can cancel during that time. When it completes, the room document and all private media under its storage prefix are removed. A room that never gets a second member is removed after 30 days without activity, so an abandoned invitation does not stay open forever.
